We booked this place because it was close to the Jardin Botanic, where the Chinese Lantern Festival was amazing. But the adventure continued when we got to know our host, Marc. He was thoughtful and helpful, and we enjoyed his superb breakfasts and conversation. If you like your room and your food always the same, go to a big expensive hotel. But if you want to sample local culture and cuisine, this is the place to stay. The bathroom was first class, and the walk to the metro, just at the bottom of the hill, gave us a grand tour of Montreal.
